BEATTY, ALFRED "SAM" BARRY - Sam passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5th, 2014. Sam Beatty died at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Marion for 61 years. Loving father and grandfather of Brenda DeGuire & her late husband Rick and their children Joe & Mike, Sarnia; Joyce Wise & her husband Garry and their children Shelley Rizopoulos, Dusty Wise and the late Darryl Wise, Sarnia; the late Gail MacKenzie & her husband Greg and their children Trisha (Kyle) Morden, Mallory (Mark)VanDamme and Morgan (Steve) Murphy, Courtright; Rick Beatty (Cindy) and children Rodney & Randy Beatty & Ryan McClung, Sarnia; Dave Beatty & his wife Cherie and their son Nicky, Wyoming and Stacey Beatty-Kelch (Greg) and children Jayme & Jesse Kelch, Sarnia and Carol Beatty of Sarnia. Also survived by several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Stuart & Bertha Beatty and his brothers John & Bill and sister Bonnie Ellis and in-laws Jack and Florence Sayers. Sam was a strong, hard-working, successful businessman and co-owner with Ron Fenwick of Beatty and Fenwick Volvo. Sam spent many years racing stock cars and motorcycles. He was an avid race fan and if it had a motor, he was interested in it and could fix anything. Sam was vibrant and young-minded and could tell stories for hours. Sam did everything his way in life and in death. He will be devastatingly missed. God Speed Sam ! In honouring Sam's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a donation to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to The McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, Sarnia (519-344-3131).
