Obituary of Anne Faubert

Anne Faubert (Gawdunyk) passed away peacefully in her 80th year surrounded by her family at the Bluewater Health - Palliative Care on Thursday June 14th 2007. She is survived by her six children. Gerry Pigat (Dino) of Richmond Hill, ON., Sharon Faubert of Richmond, VA, Ed Faubert of Chestnut Ridge, NY, Greg Faubert (Laura), Mary Jane Faubert, Anne Marie Ramsdale (Greg) all of Sarnia. Cherished Nanny of 16 grandchildren. Dennis, Jean-Paul, Katie, Lesley, Michelle, Marianne, Jessica, Brooke, Sarah, Shayne, Jennifer, Emily, Nic, Brad, Kristen, Colby, and two great grand children. Pre-deceased by her husband Leo (1975), parents Anna and Nicholas Gawdunyk and brothers Nicholas, William, and Michael. She acquired many friends over her lifetime and was very active in St Benedict's Parish as a Commentator, and Eucharistic minister. She was a founding member of St. Benedict's Catholic Women's League. Anne served as president of St. Benedict's CWL from 1965-1967, and 1982 -1984 and was actively involved in their annual Bazaar. She also served as convention chair person for the CWL London Diocesan Council and was recently awarded a sixty year pin for her service. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Maddison and all of the staff at Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit, as well as to her many friends and other family members who supported her during her final days. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict's Church on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
