Obituary of Clare Nelson
NELSON, CLARE - Passed away recently at Fiddick's Nursing Home after a lengthly struggle with several health problems. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Joan Nelson-Wilson of Sarnia, his son Donald Nelson and daughter-in-law Arlene Nelson of Wyoming. Grandchildren Michelle Deschamps and Jacquie Van Klaveren and great-grandchildren Nelson and Nicole Van Klaveren and Victoria and Samantha Deschamps mourn the passing of a dear grandfather. Clare established Nelson's Greenhouse at Reece's Corners, moving into Sarnia upon retirement. He was a Charter Member of the Wyoming Lions Club serving as President from 1961 to 1962 and served for many years as a member of the Petrolia District High School Board. Clare was an avid golfer and lawn bowler, and was a member of the Greenwood Golf Course and of the Sarnia Lawn Bowling Association. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Monday, April 30, 2007 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
