Obituary of Barbara Marcella Depencier

DEPENCIER (Hummell), Barbara – Passed away in the early morning of Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospice after a lengthy battle with cancer at the age of 64. Beloved wife of Jim, Watford. Loving mother of her three sons Dwayne (Jane), Sarnia, Brian (Sarah), Squamish, B.C. and Jeff (Natasha), Squamish, B.C. Grandmother of her seven beautiful grandchildren Matthaus, Henry, Ava, Griffin, Sienna, Daniel and Samantha. Beloved daughter of Margaret (Langan) & the late Robert Hummell, Sarnia. Dear sister of Christopher (Marion) Hummell, Sarnia, Andrea (Brent) Tessier, Forest, Gregory (Laurie) Hummell, Bright's Grove and Maureen Hummell, Sarnia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Daniel and Mark Hummell and nephew Daniel Hummell. Special friend of Denise O'Neil and Barb Allardyce. Barb's family would like to thank the nurses at V.O.N., especially Ellen Shaule who took such wonderful care of her through her journey over the last 5 years. They would also like to thank Dr. Glen Maddison and Dr. Monique Dostaler and the staff of St. Joseph's Hospice for their relentless support and comfort given to Barb. There will be no funeral home visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia.
