Obituary of John Derry Nesbitt
NESBITT, John Derry - At Bluewater Health, Palliative Care on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, John died peacefully at the age of 60 with his loving family by his side. Cherished son of Jean Allewell. Beloved husband of Donna for 30 years. Loving father of Ted (Charlene) Nesbitt of London, Karina (Terry) Hynes of Toronto, Troy (Sherry Lee) Nesbitt of Toronto; and step-father of Tania (Rick) Marsh and Keith (Fallon) Staal of New Brunswick. Proud grandfather of Cassie, Melanie, T.J., Amanda, Jeff, John, Ryan, Lindsey, Kyle, Tianna, Cadence and Maison. Dear brother of Cindy (Lloyd) Dinner of Belmont, Paul (Debbie) Nesbitt of Surrey, BC, Lorraine (Paul) Gregoire of London, Dave (Kitty) Allewell of Belmont, Pauline (Doug) Gregoire of Ingersoll, Sue (Brad) Anderson of London, Shirley (Cole) Gillian, Bruce (Tara) Nesbitt, and Bob Nesbitt, all of Orillia, and brother-in-law of Jenny Allewell of Boston. Also survived by the mother of his children Lorrie Nesbitt, his step-mother Helen Nesbitt and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Lawrence Nesbitt, step-father Mansell Allewell, and brother Wayne Allewell. John was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #447. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where a Legion Service will be held at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by The Ven. Rev. Dr. J. J. Simmons. Interment to follow at Moore Union Cemetery in Mooretown.
