Obituary of Kenneth John Swaffield

SWAFFIELD, Kenneth John – Peacefully surrounded by his family at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the age of 80. Ken and his family were blessed that they were able to be together at his passing. Beloved husband of Maureen for 56 years. Loving father of Julie (Andrew) Walsh, Bright's Grove and Granddad to Olivia. Brother of Derek (Jean), Geoffrey (Barbara) and Raymond (Sue) all of England. Both Kenneth & Maureen came to live in Toronto in 1958 where they married and had a daughter. They returned to England from 1972-2012. In 2012 they returned to Canada to be with their daughter and her family in Bright's Grove. Kenneth had a passion for golf, whether he was playing it or watching it on TV. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 10-10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel immediately following the visitation at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Raymond Hodgson officiating. Cremation to follow. Kenneth's final resting place will be at Churston Golf Club in Devon, England where he most loved to play.
