Obituary of Noreen Mary Olive Darcy
DARCY, Noreen (Lapierre) – Peacefully with family by her side at Bluewater Health, Palliative Care on Friday, May 23, 2014, Noreen died after a sudden and brief illness at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Clarence (1993). Loving mother of John, Kanata, ON, Patrick, Prince Albert, SK, Jim (Jane), Sarnia, Kevin, Sarnia, Tom, Victoria, B.C. and Luanne (Bruce) Perry, Calgary, AB. Noreen was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Donna (John) Donnelly, Betty (Gilbert) Donnelly, Marilyn (Jack) Jennings, Lois Lapierre (Greg Lawrence), Lou Lapierre (Donna Scott); and sister-in-law of Edirene Lapierre. Predeceased by her parents Mary Jane (nee Duff) and Anthony Lapierre, sisters Jean Lawrence and Margaret Gleason, and brother Larry Lapierre. Noreen touched the lives of many children through her teaching career and was a member of the C.W.L for over 50 years. Special thanks to the dedicated staff at Bluewater Health for their compassion and care. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St.,Sarnia, on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Raju Allumpurath at St. Benedict's Church on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
