CHALIFOUX - At Marshall Gowland Manor on Saturday, February 3, 2007. ADRIENNE MARIE (CHABOT) CHALIFOUX, age 94 of Sarnia. Beloved wife of the late George Delphis Chalifoux. Cherished mother of Lillian Harkins (Norm), Sarnia and Isabelle Gillis, Sarnia. Special aunt of Raymond Chalifoux (Pat), Sarnia and Leo Chalifoux (Margaret), Arizona. Sister-in-law of Roger Dube, St. Thomas and Emma Patry (Bert), Timmins. Proud memere of Michael, Patty, Renee, Dan and Jim Harkins and families of Sarnia, Monica Gillis Lawrence and Randy Gillis and families, Sarnia, Lisa Chalifoux of Montreal and Terry Brown and family of Etobicoke. Extremely proud great-grandmother of 16. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Adrienne was born November 12, 1912 in Ste. Justine, Quebec. She met and married her husband George in Timmins and the family moved to Sarnia in 1950. She will be remembered as a generous and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her sense of humour and quick infectious smile even in her later years brought joy to those around her. She was a past member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, The Golden Age Club, Les Dames Auxiliares and had been an active contributor to the church's bazaars with her knitting and sewing. Predeceased by her son Robert (2006) her husband George (1990), her parents, 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Terence Runstedler at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
