METCALFE, Jack Clifford - Peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospice on Monday, June 26, 2017, Jack passed away at the age of 91. Son of the late Ethel & Roy Metcalfe. Husband of the late Kathryn Prevett and the late Betty Banks. Father of the late Gayle Talaskavich and Peggy Holmes. Brother of Leone Mater, Don (Shirley) Metcalfe and Doug Metcalfe. Brother-in-law of Joyce Prevett. Grandfather of Andrew (Kim) Holmes, sons Spencer and Curtis. Grandfather of Nathan (Krista) Talaskavich and great-grandfather of Joshua Talaskavich. Jack was a W.W. II veteran. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 388 Wyoming, a retired member of Local 663 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and a member of The People's Church. Jack truly loved life. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia. A gathering will be held at a future date to share stories and will be published. Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.
