BARNES, Marvin Douglas - Suddenly at home in Alvinston, Marvin passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Jo-Anne (Boucher) for 43 years. Dear father of Corey Barnes, Alvinston and Jason Barnes, Point Edward. Step-father of Kelly Bell, Sarnia. Loving Papa to Parker and Lexie Barnes. Brother of James Barnes, Sarnia, John Barnes, London, Scott Barnes (Laurie Vansickle), Sarnia and Barbara Boire (Gerry), Sarnia. Predeceased by parents James Barnes & Margaret McHenry and sisters Wendy Chapman, Sharon Fletcher, Debbie Barnes and Elaine Barnes. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews. Marvin was retired from the Carpenter's & Joiners Union of America Local 1256. He was a proud member of the "Rubber Boot Gang" that gathered monthly to raise funds for charity. Marvin was the proud owner of his custom made trike that he built and loved to take on trips. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Lodge, 874 Philip St., (off Confederation St.) on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.
