BELL, Robert "Bob" – Peacefully at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the age of 84. Dearest fiancé of Joanne Pollock, Sarnia. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (Porteous) (2001). Dear brother of Thomas Watson (Margot) Bell, Scotland and the late Marion Hosie (2013). Loving uncle of John Hosie, Thomas Hosie, Gordon Bell and Jennifer Bell, all of Scotland. Special friend of Natalie Hilpert and Jason, Elizabeth, Jenna and Adam Scott. Bob was born in Glasgow, Scotland and graduated from the University of Glasgow. After his national service in the R.A.F., he taught English in Scotland and in Sarnia at Northern and S.C.I.T.S., where he was head of English. A career change found Bob working for RBC Dominion Securities as a stockbroker in Chatham and Sarnia. Bob was an avid golfer and was a member of various golf clubs including the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club and the Port Huron Golf Club. At Bob's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.
