BUTLER, Matthew Jacob - It is with great devastation and heartache that the family announces the sudden passing of MATTHEW BUTLER at the age of 16 as the result of an accident. Beloved son of Scott Blair Butler & his fiancée Angeleen Hart, Sarnia and Louisa & her husband Tony Allen, Sarnia. Cherished grandson of Kathy (Nana) and the late Mervin (Buppy) Butler (2006), Camlachie and Susan Burt, Michigan, Hester Allen, Sarnia and Gordy & Andrea Mitchell, Saugeen. Dear brother of Travis, Codi, Christian, Jacob, Scott Jr., Alexandria, Payton, Taylor and Cameron. He will be dearly missed by his best friend and love Becca Huggett, Wyoming. Great-grandson of Hubert (Bert) & the late Theresa Butler (2007), Sarnia, Irene Bois, Sarnia and Lester & Rhonda Bois, Sarnia. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by great-grandparents Gerald & Florence Sherwood, Sarnia. Matthew was a student at Alexander MacKenzie Secondary School and was well on his way to achieving his lifetime goal of becoming an underwater welder. In addition, Matthew loved composing and listening to music and playing his guitar. He had a special love for his Xbox. Matthew used his special talents during his off hours at school. He volunteered his time playing his guitar entertaining the special needs students. Matthew’s tender heart and attitude touched many. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Saturday at 1 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Gary Shuttleworth. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the St. Clair Child & Youth Services, 129 Kendall St., Point Edward, N7V 4G6. A tree will be planted in memory of Matthew Butler in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area.
