Obituary of Voyle Webber Jordan

JORDAN – Voyle Webber (nee Gamble) – At Bluewater Health, Sarnia on April 24, 2013, Voyle Jordan died at the age of 82. Loving aunt of Wayne Gamble (Marjorie), Monica Gentile (late Charles), Pat Gamble (late Keith), Rae Gamble (Nancy), Norman Gamble (Sue), David Gamble & partner Carol Francis. Predeceased husband Howard Ray Jordan (1987), loving companion Charles Kurt (2004); parents Albert (1949) & Beatrice (1969) Gamble, brothers Kenneth (1981) and William (1981) and dear nephew Keith Gamble (2011). Voyle was born April 26, 1930 in Oil Springs. She was raised in Dawn Twp & Oil Springs, ON and was educated at Rosedale Public School & Wells Academy, Petrolia. Trained as a clerical/bookkeeping career, she worked in various locations; most notably at St. Joseph's Hospitals in London & Sarnia and in contract positions at Bechtel Corporation sites in Sarnia & Calgary. While in London, she devoted time to Helping Hands Volunteer Service for which she was recognized by CFPL as a Volunteer of the Day. Voyle retired to Sarnia from the Lucan & London area. Always ready with a smile, Voyle had a very quick sense of humour and liked to laugh. She loved to read and had a passion for playing euchre. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Voyle's long time VON caregivers Diana & Lori and the families of the late Jack Graham and Terry Haggart for their compassion and support. Also, a thank you to the staff at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, Voyle enjoyed her life at Meadowview and commented on the excellent care she received and the friends that she had made. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, 12 – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24th. A celebration of Voyle's life will be held immediately following visitation in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Elise Chambers officiating. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com. A tree will be planted in memory of Voyle Jordan in the McKenzie & Blundy Memorial Forest. Dedication service Sunday, September 15th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wawanosh Wetlands Conservation Area
