Obituary of Percy Wayne Passingham

PASSINGHAM, Percy Wayne - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved husband, father and PaPa, Percy Wayne Passingham on Monday, January 12, 2015, at home surrounded by his loving family and dog Dolly. Percy Wayne was a devoted husband to his life time love Diane (Beauchamp) for 48 years. Beloved father to Jane Passingham-Ross, Sarnia and Dwayne & his wife Kellie, Red Deer, Alberta. Loving PaPa to Mackenzie Ross (Puddin), Sarnia. Dear brother to Ann Frayne, Forest, June White, Watford, Bob Passingham, Brigden, Chris Yacks, Chatham, Birt Passingham and Gerry Passingham, Sarnia. Dear brother-in-law to Claude Beauchamp, California, Guy Beauchamp, Montreal, Lise Beauchamp, Caledonia and Rita Maitland, Sarnia. Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Daniel & Mary Passingham, brothers William & Theodore and father-in-law & mother-in-law Dollard & Gilberte Beauchamp. Percy was born in Petrolia ON., on December 2, 1942. Upon completing his education he started working at Southern Oil, then worked for CN Rail on the track division. In 1966 Percy started a pipefitter apprenticeship with the Pipefitter Local 663. During his pipefitter career he worked 28 years for Kel-Gor Fabrication. Wayne retired from his career in 2001 and continued enjoying his life fishing, camping, hunting and spending time with his family. He was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish and long time member of the parish folk choir in Sarnia. His whole life was devoted to loving his family. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Friday, January 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Kathemo Mukucha at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
