KEENAN, Rose – Surrounded by her loving family at Afton Park Place on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Daniel Keenan. Dear sister of Bridget (John) McGettigan, Ireland. Sister-in-law of Jean (late Fred) McGinty, Sarnia and Bridget (late Danny) McGinty, Ireland. Aunt of John McGinty, Sarnia, late Elizabeth St. Pierre (husband Pete), Sarnia, Nora (late Rick) Germain, Corunna and RoseAnn (Dave) Friesen, Sherwood Park, AB. Great aunt of Dale, Jim, Lindsey, Kristine and Andrew. Also surviving are many nieces & nephews in Ireland. Dear friend of Nan & John Docherty and family, Sarnia. Rose worked at the Sarnia General Hospital, retiring in 1992 after 29 years of service and continued at the General as a volunteer. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Higgins at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the charity of their choice.
