Obituary of Karin Bennett

Bennett, Karin – Suddenly at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Karin Bennett died on Monday July 7, 2025, at the age of 78. 

Loving partner of Paul Dusten. Dear mother of Paul Kalupnieks, Vancouver. Sister of Peter Bush, Ottawa. Aunt of Martin, Susan, Jennifer, James and Lucy. Loved by Paul Dusten’s daughter Cheryl (Rob) and son Greg (Lisa). Cherished adopted grandmother of Sarah and Kate. 

Predeceased by her first husband Dr. Michael Bennett and her parents Aleksander & Salme Bush and brother Gustav Bush.

Karin loved to travel and was always caring deeply for the friends and family close to her. 

Friends will be received at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m.  The celebration of Karin’s life will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Tuesday, July 15th at 11 a.m.  Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society, 131 Exmouth St., Sarnia, N7T 7W8.
