Sincere condolences to the family and friends of Wally, a gracious man. My husband August, and I, would walk out of Henne’s feeling like we had been in the presence of a very special individual. Whether we were purchasing jewelry or taking our cloak in for care, we felt goodness and sincerity. RIP Wally. Juanita Kuiack

I have so many lovely memories of Wally, but perhaps most fondly I can picture him standing on the deck of the SCITS swimming pool, imitating the breast stroke and telling us all to "SVIM! SVIM FASTER!" He was a lovely, kind soul and will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to the Henne family.

I am so sorry to see that Wally has died! He worked on my grandfather clock just early this year I think it was. The last time I spoke to him he wasn’t well but didn’t know why at the time. It was a pleasure to know Wally. Sending my condolences to the family.

Elle and Markus and Families,
Cynthia and I were sad to learn of Wally’s passing. We were fortunate enough to see Wally and Elle during our New Year’s evening dinner at Tang’s. Wally was always a great friend as we navigated the ever changing landscape of the retail jewellery trade. I never considered Wally as a competitor, but rather good friend. We always felt comfortable helping each other when either needed a favour. Rest in peace my friend.

The chime clock in our home has been a fixture for over forty years and Wally has cleaned and repaired it many times. The last time was in the summer of 2023, a part had broken off and Wally could not repair it. Between Wally and myself, we came up with the idea to put a battery in it and “the fixture” remains.
I also knew Wally through swimming and we would often see one another at the Y pool.My husband knew Wally from cycling.
My condolences to the family, Maureen Grimwood
