Dear Louise, Laurence and Flavia, Your obituary is a beautiful tribute to an amazing man. He must have been so proud of you. We never met but I knew he and you mother were deeply religious and that they passed that faith on to their children. I remember when you first started in the choir Louise. He must’ve been so proud to hear that you became a cantor in the church and Laurence, a reader. I am so honoured to know him through his children. May flights of angels carry him on his way to heaven.

Dear Vittorina, Laurence, Louise and Flavia,
My deepest condolences for the loss of a wonderful man. I enjoyed reading his obituary and learning more of his early life and many skills. His greatest legacy will live on through Laurence and Louise. Laurence - your incredible wit and good humour were clearly gifts from your father. Grief is never easy to carry - I hope your burden is lessened by the shared stories and memories of Egidio and his many wonderful qualities. I am sorry that I am away and will not have the opportunity to show my respects in person. Warmly, Cort

Hi Cort and thank you for your heartfelt and lovely note. Your family has always been close in times of yore and times of need - Vici and Barb came to the visitation also, another touching gesture. I hope we may be able to connect at some point, but in the meantime, please accept our gratitude and appreciation for your considerate message. From Laurence and the Mussio Family.

Dear Vittorina, Louise, Laurence and Flavia,
Winnie, Daniel, Alethea and I are deeply saddened to hear of Egidio’s passing. Please know that you are in our prayers and thoughts.
I have so many good memories of Egidio, or “Mr. Mussio”, as he’ll forever be to me. He was always welcoming and willing to put up with whatever nonsense we had going on, which couldn’t have been easy, as he certainly wasn’t one to suffer fools. I enjoyed his occasional wry commentary which was a hallmark of his discerning personality, always understated but usually accurate. His DIY abilities and meticulous attention to detail were evident every time I would visit, everything in its place and everything in working order. One of the best visits was a number of years ago when Daniel was younger, and Egidio seemed to take great pleasure in sharing their mutual passion for high performance cars. The test ride he gave Daniel, which may or may have not exceeded the speed limit, is a memory that will never be forgotten.
He will be missed.
All our love,
Peter, Winnie, Daniel, and Alethea

Dear Pete and family,
Thank you for your condolences and prayers, and for sharing your cherished memories of my dad with us. They made us smile and laugh with recognition, and honestly, he had the best time taking Daniel for a ride in the Beemer on the open road. That was perhaps his top "happy place," and all the more when sharing it with a budding aficionado like Daniel. My dad was also very touched by your visit some months ago.
Love,
Louise and family

Louise, Mrs. Mussio, Laurence, and Flavia,
My heart is with all of you at this time, sending much love and my deepest condolences. Louise, your father was such a funny, kind and gentle man, good natured and deeply devoted to his family. He was also incredibly talented - I was so impressed with the table he lovingly made you. It was absolutely beautiful. I also think about your parents' home in Sarnia, so well cared for, including the beautiful gardens. I was fortunate enough to travel to Italy with you, Louise, to see where your father called home, and it was very clear from meeting your relatives there that your father was deeply respected and loved. It was impossible not to be inspired and effected by the love shared by your entire family. I am very sorry for your loss. Hugs to all. XOXO

Dear Vittorina, Laurence, Louise and Flavia
My family and I wish to convey our deepest sympathies to you all as you grieve the passing of your beloved husband, father and father in law.
The beautiful tribute shows what an incredible life he lead in the most difficult times on arrival to Canada all those many years ago. So many things achieved and a wonderful life led with a great legacy left behind. A true legend! Hang on to those many memories shared during your vacations in Pordenonne.
I was privileged to have spoken with him on the odd occasion. A true gentleman!
I will always cherish those last words he conveyed to me through Laurence and Flavia as he lay in his hospital bed in such pain.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.
