MINO, Pauline Anita (nee Turner) - Peacefully at Afton Park Place, Pauline died on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Mino (2021). Loving mother of Rhonda Melanson & her husband Don, Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Scott, Noah and Madelyn. Dear sister-in-law of Marion Mino. Sister-in-law of John Mino (Carol) Indiana and Elizabeth Teft (Wayne). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Robert & Marie Turner.
Born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Pauline settled in Bluewater, Ontario with her parents, then moved to Sarnia. She attended Sarnia Collegiate Institute and Technical School (SCITS) where she graduated from the commercial program. Pauline worked at the Lambton Health Unit and later at Sarnia General Hospital, first in the emergency department, then the Lab department office until she retired in 1998 to spend time with family and her beloved grandchildren.
Pauline was a huge music fan with a significant record collection, her favourite artists being Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond and anything country music. For several years, she annually attended the Country Music Fan Fair in Nashville, Tennessee where she met many up and coming young country artists. Pauline loved knitting, cooking, and gardening. She also enjoyed organizing and playing in leagues for euchre, Pepper, and cribbage at both the Sarnia Strangway Centre and St. Benedict’s Church.
Most of all, Pauline loved her little family including pets Peppy (1995) and Razzle.
Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Monday, June 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church on Tuesday, June 24th at 11 am. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
