Obituary of Michael John Healey

HEALEY, Michael John – Myke passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health Palliative Care with his son by his side on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the age of 68. Beloved partner of Wendy Smith for 32 years. Dear father of Christopher Healey, Jeffrey Healey (Lisa), Jason Smith, Karen Hennessey (Paul) and Justin Smith. Loving grandfather/olfa of Jordynn, Cole, Brendan, Wyatt, Logan, Ryenn, Jeff Jr., Lachlan, Kali, Luella, Sawyer, Finn, Mae, Tyler and Kaitlyn. Brother of Kim Dunn (Terry) and Billy Healey (Jo). Uncle of Adam and Kara Dunn and Great Uncle of Rylen and Skyler. Lovingly remembered by Naomi Reid. Predeceased by parents William (The Bear) Healey and Theresa (Doyle).

Baseball was life for Myke both on and off the field. He played competitively and recreationally. His 1977 Corunna Giants Sr. Western Counties & Sr. “A” Ont. Champions was enshrined into the Sarnia Lambton Sports Hall of Fame for Outstanding Excellence in the sport of Baseball. He was also a pool player in the Original Rack and Roll Pool League on and off for 30 years. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Point Edward Ex-Servicemen’s Club on Friday, June 6, 2025 beginning at 3 p.m. Words of remembrance will be spoken by Kelly Bell at 3:30. Because of Myke's love of sports, feel free to wear your favourite team attire, he loved a good banter with the opposition.
