One of my favorite memories of Opperman was when my family moved into our house on Rayburne Ave which had an in ground pool, and Opperman was the first person to ever swim in it. Didn't matter that it was April, literally just filled and at a crisp 56° he jumped right in no hesitation. The picture is still around my dad's house somewhere. Dan was a great guy and he will be missed by so many. My heart goes out to his family and anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
