CONTE, MARIA (nee Lecce) - At University Hospital, London, with her family by her side, Maria Conte died on July 17, 2017 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of over 50 years to the late Angelo (2006). Loving mother of Enza and her husband Frank Piazza. Proud Nonna of Olivia and Lucas. Dear sister of the late Agnese Lecce, the late Vittoria (late Antonio) Di Brango, and Michele (Amesia) Lecce and sister-in-law of the late Domenico (late Maria) Conte, the late Pancrazio (Iolanda) Conte, the late Giuseppe (Rosina) Conte, the late Pasquale (Santina) Conte, Vincenzo (Marta) Conte, Pasqua (late Fiorino) Rotondi, and Antonio (Arminia) Conte. Maria was an avid gardener and loved to cook. Her passion was spending time with her family and friends. Maria was a long time member of the Dante Club Seniors Group and the Catholic Women's League. She worked at Polysar for over 20 years. Maria will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Friday July 21st, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 7p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. David Johnston at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.
