Tamie, Karen, Sandy, Mark and families,
My first introduction to your Mom and Dad was when I was appointed to St. Benedict’s after my ordination in May of 1975.
Every Sunday the 9:30 am Mass was designated as the Folk Mass, directed by your Mom and a host of singers with guitars. The Mass was spirited, truly alive and usually bursting at the seams. If your Mom wasn’t singing in the choir she would have been, like so many others, involved in other ministries like CWL meetings or preparing for the annual bazaar etc. After 5 years I was transferred, only to return in 1996 to 2007 as pastor. Once again, Judy was still actively involved in many facets of parish life with the same enthusiasm as I first recalled.
Your Mom had many gifts and she shared them freely and generously. Her love for your Dad, you, her community and faith in God was a constant in her life. May her memory be held dear and may she be rewarded with everlasting happiness.
Rest in peace, Judy.
