Obituary of Judith Anne Hamilton

HAMILTON (Edgar), Judith – April 23, 1941 – March 16, 2018.  Judy passed away peacefully at her home, with her daughters by her side, on Friday, March 16, 2018.  Judy was a loving mother and is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Christine Hamilton of London, and Jennifer and Ken Sandmoen of Fort McMurray.  "Nana" is also survived by her dear grandchildren Brenden and Sydney Sandmoen, sister Joan Glaab (late Charles), nephews and nieces Michael, Maureen and Marlene Glaab, Karen and Brock (Alexandra) Edgar.  Judy was predeceased by her parents Jean and Cliff Edgar, husband Charles Hamilton, brother James Edgar and sister-in-law Deanna Edgar, and brother-in-law Charles Glaab.  Judy was born and raised in Sarnia and enjoyed a wonderful upbringing in this community.  In 1985 a move to Calgary with her family introduced the beauty of the West and a host of new friends and opportunities.  Judy returned to Ontario years later and chose to make her home on the water in Point Edward.  She loved beaches, summer weather and adventures with family and friends, traveling to Florida many times over the years.  Above all else Judy cherished her time with friends and treasured her family visits.   Judy's family wants to thank and send their deepest appreciation to the amazing team who helped to care for her during this time; including family and friends, Dr. Allison Crombeen and her team, the talented and professional staff at Bluewater Health, and the dedicated nurses and personal support workers who were all instrumental in her care.  Cremation has taken place and at Judy's request there will be no visitation or service.  Private family arrangements are entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Bluewater Health Foundation, 89 Norman St., Sarnia, N7T 6S3.  Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
