Hans was a compressor engineering specialist for Polysar until his retirement in 1981. In his retirement he was a consultant for Esso, taught physics at Lambton College and was actively involved in community lakefront preservation. Throughout his life he was an avid craftsman and used those skills to restore homes to their natural beauty. Hans had an active lifestyle; walking, cross country skiing, sailing, tennis and badminton. Family meant everything to Hans and his passions became their passions. He was a history and politics buff, which led to many lively discussions at the dining room table. As a dedicated father he encouraged every one of his children in their individual goals and interests. Hans was a romantic, his love for Inge was forever and always, a true inspiration to all who knew and loved him. In honouring Hans' wishes cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Sarnia Community Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).
