MORIARITY, Kevin - It is with saddened hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Kevin Moriarity, who passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Bluewater Health Palliative Care at the age of 95 years young. Kevin was born and raised in the hills of Paris, Ontario and was the beloved husband to Joan (Milne) of Belleville for 59 years. He was the dear father of Teresa Ruffilli (Frank), Kathleen Moriarity (1960-1975), Mary Stoesser (Peter), Helen Moriarity (1962-1987), Vincent Moriarity (Julie), and Rita Moriarity (Thomas). Loving and cherished grandfather of Sheena, Matthew, Angela, Laura, and Steven Ruffilli; Christine, Anne, Katherine, Theresa and Kevin Stoesser; Ryan, Blair and Cole Moriarity; and, Eva and Grace. Great-grandfather to Rosemary. Brother of Marie Wheelton of Paris, Sheila Marshall of Toronto. Brother-in-law to Lillian and Leone Moriarity of Paris. Father-in-law to Paul Ruffilli. Admired uncle to many nieces and nephews (too many to name). Kevin was a navigator with the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 62, and for several seasons, including the one most recently played, Kevin sang the national anthem at the Sarnia Legionnaires Hockey games. He was proud to serve the country he loved. Kevin was a dedicated employee at Bell Canada. He was active in the local singing community, where his love of music brought him to many organizations such as The Polysar Glee Club, the International Symphony Singers, The Canadian Liberation Choir that toured parts of Europe and Canada, and Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto. From his music, to his mornings spent with friends in Global Donuts, to his avid bike riding well into his 90s, Kevin remained active in his community and life. He was a man of honour and dignity and will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Kevin goes to join his daughters Kathleen and Helen Moriarity; parents Mary and William Moriarity; brothers Terrence (WWII), William, and Patrick Moriarity; and, sister Jane Mosher. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at MCKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE LTD., 431. N. Christina St. N., Sarnia on Monday May 22 from 7-9 p.m. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62 Memorial Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr.
