De ALMEIDA, Celestino "Joe" - Peacefully at home with his wife by his side, Celestino De Almeida died on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Irma. Loving father of Fernando De Almeida, Godrich. Cherished grandpa of Carrisa, Marcus and Anthony. Great-grandpa of Pricilla. Dear brother of the late Manuel & his wife Celeste Emelia, Tavares & her husband Augustino, Ruffina Dias (late Armando), Sarnia and 2 brothers and 1 sister in Portugal. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Euginia & Antonio De Almeida. Celestino worked for many years with Ontario Hydro. He loved to work in his garden and never missed a day feeding the birds. Celestino was an avid fisherman and hunter. Past member of the Portuguese Club. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Steve Marsh at St. Benedict's Church on Saturday, March 4th at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum.
