Additional Obit Info

RIVAIS, TESSIE ELIZABETH - Tessie Rivais passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the age of 60. Loving mother of the late Adrien Rivais, Randi Rivais and Ashlyn Rivais (Trevor). Dear sister of Cathie Pendergast-Dews (Dave) and Kelly Pendergast. Predeceased by her parents Angus & Dorothy Pendergast. Tessie loved those around her unconditionally and always put the happiness of others before her own, no matter how little she had to give. She took the road less travelled in life while making a lasting impression in the lives of those who knew her. She loved to pass the time knitting for anyone who was willing to accept her gifts and chatting on the phone to whoever was willing to answer. She spent years refining her skills in the kitchen and had baked a cake for nearly everyone who was a part of her life at some point in time. Tessie was full of talents but her greatest gift she had ever given was the gift of laughter. Tessie's life was full of loving, but often humorous, stories. She loved to laugh and retell her favourite memories over and over again. Tessie would often say that her three children were her entire life. She was a loving mother who over the years became a loving friend to her children. Tessie's love knows no boundaries and will be remembered by all those who she has touched throughout her life. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Terrance Runstedler. Interment Oxford Memorial Cemetery, Woodstock. Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
