FLORY, HAROLD JOSEPH - Passed away peacefully at Marshall Gowland Manor with family at his side, on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Johnson). Loving father of Sharon (Jerome) Lebert, Sandy (Steve) Parsons, Doug (Donna), and Ann (Glen) Sulkye. Cherished gramps and papa to Derek (Meghan), Julie (Dave), Jenna (Billy), Chris (Trish), Aaron (Sarah), Mandy (Adam), Steven, Kelly (TJ), Katelyn (Brian) and Jessica (Peter). Special great-grampa to Kaiden, Jaxon, Reese, Gordon, Rowan, Sam and Elliott. Dear brother of Lloyd, Morris (Joyce) and brother-in-law of Donna Wallin, Irene Flory, Betty Johnson, Lorne Johnson (Ann), Grace Johnson and Audrey Rempel (Frank). Predeceased by his parents Leo & Annie Flory and his brothers Donald, Leon and Roger Flory. Harold was born and raised in Humboldt Saskatchewan and moved to Sarnia in 1952 to begin working at Dow Chemical. In Sarnia, he met the love of his life, Dorothy, and this year celebrated 60 years of marriage. Dad enjoyed his special times with family. Many summers were spent packing up the camper and meeting up with siblings and relatives at different campgrounds across Canada and the US. Harold enjoyed 31 years of retirement. He spent lots of time tinkering in his garage fixing and doing woodworking. He was always ready for game of cribbage with whoever was up for the challenge! Special thanks to the care given from the VON and staff at Marshall Gowland Manor. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 3:30p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict's Church on Wednesday, December 7th at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
