DESROCHERS, Paulette – At Marshall Gowland Manor, Sarnia, on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, Paulette Desrochers died at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late André Desrochers (1993). Loving mother of Guy Desrochers (Angela), Paul Desrochers (Cindy), Louise McEachen (Mike), Claire Wallace (Alastair), Denise Youmans (Todd), and Pierre Desrochers. Cherished grandmother of Nicholas (Katherine) Desrochers, Natalie (Edward) Shaver, Benjamin Desrochers, Andy Desrochers (Alannah Buckley), Krista (Dave) Stevenson, Wesley Desrochers, Danielle (Casey) Chambers, Melissa McEachen, Craig Wallace (Bailey Davis), Blair Wallace, Chad Youmans, Nicole Youmans, Jay Youmans and Jaimée Desrochers. Great-grandmother of Liam Buckley, Jackson Desrochers, Reuben Stevenson and Evelyn Chambers. Dear sister of Donald Rondeau ( Liliane), Denis (Redskin) Rondeau (Patricia) and Carole Major (Dave). Predeceased by her parents Rhea & Donat Rondeau. Paulette was a dedicated lifelong supporter of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and many other French community projects. Paulette was a founding member of the French Social Club "Le Club Joliette". Church and State were never far from her mind as she worked passionately for the Liberal Party of Canada. There was never a dull moment as her six children and fourteen grandchildren ensured she had a much fulfilled life. She will be sorely missed but always remembered by all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace Memère. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Vince Gulikers at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Friday September 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
