Obituary of Richard Gordon Harris

HARRIS, Richard Gordon "Dick" – Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, August 22, 2016 in his 82nd year. Cherished husband and best friend of Julia "Ann" (nee Hubbard) for 62 years. Loving father of Donna Hollins (Ron), Rick (Carol), Rob (Deborah), Patti Mathieson (Jim) and Frank (Colleen). Proud grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Herbert & Bertha Harris, sisters Norma Joleun, Delores Norton and Gloria Ross. Dick was a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local 530 for over 60 years. He was a long time member of Queen of Peace Church. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, Thursday from 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at Queen of Peace Church. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the charity of their choice.
