CADEAU, Bertha - At Bluewater Health on Thursday, July 21, 2016, Bertha Cadeau died at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Lorne for over 62 years. Loving sister of Jean Guy Marin & his wife Lise, Timmins, Ron Marin & his wife Rose, Thunder Bay, Claudette Tait & her husband Cliff, Newcastle and Andre Marin & his wife Heather, Timmins. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Alphonse & Georgiana Marin, and siblings Raymond, Yolande, Jeannine and Eliette. Bertha and her husband were very successful business partners in many ventures over the years. They were owners of motels in Timmins and Niagara Falls. After selling, they retired for a few years in Ottawa, then coming out of retirement to become the proprietors of the Two Bridges Motel in Kapuskasing. Finally retiring, they moved to Sarnia and spent many wonderful years making new memories at their cottage and in Florida. Bertha's passion was to be with Lorne. They were best friends, business partners, soul mates and love of each other's lives. Bertha was an incredible hostess and loved to spend time entertaining family and friends. She could sell anything to anybody and enjoyed having garage sales. Bertha was a great fisherman and also played darts and bowling. Bertha will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy Church at 1:30 p.m. celebrated by Fr. Stephen Marsh. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society, 131 Exmouth St., Sarnia, N7T 5M3.
