Obituary of Germaine Beaubien

BEAUBIEN, Germaine - September 17, 1912 to July 25, 2007. In Sarnia, Germaine Beaubien (nee Ranger) in her 94th year. Dear mother of Marcel Beaubien and Florence Moore of Petrolia, Rene Beaubien of Sarnia and Diane Pettit of St. Thomas. She was predeceased by her son Luc, husband Gerard, son-in-law Michael Pettit and daughters-in-law Nancy Beaubien and Marilyn Beaubien. Germaine was born in Alexandria, Ontario and lived in Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan and Malartic, Quebec before moving to Sarnia in 1955. Germaine lived a long life and upon entering her nineties, joked to her family that she was so old that the Lord had "forgotten" to take her. She was dismayed by the fact that she had outlived so many loved ones in her life. She was long predeceased by her parents David and Louise Ranger, brother Raoul Ranger and sisters, Jean Beausoleil and Blanche Massicotte. Germaine was a beloved Grandma to Scott Pettit, Nicole Simpson, Brian Beaubien, Craig Beaubien, Marc Beaubien, Camille Beaubien and Danielle Bruyns. In recent years, she was happy to welcome nine great-grandchildren into the family. Germaine will be remembered for her caring spirit, love of family and sense of humour. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Friday, July 27th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. In keeping with her beliefs, a Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 11 a.m. and will be celebrated by Fr. Terence Runstedler. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an Expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to Bluewater Health, 89 Norman St., Sarnia N7T 6S3.
