ROBERTS, John "Jack" Andrew - At Bluewater Health, Norman Site on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, John died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Betty Ann (McLaughlin). Loved father of Lynda, Edmonton, Jo-Ann Spindler (Eric), White Rock, B.C., Paula McCormick (Dan), Sarnia, Mary Roberts (Brad Maguire), Bright's Grove, Jackie Houston (Dave), Corunna and Lisa Nienhuis (Kraig), Sarnia. Proud grandfather of Dara, Nicole, Andrea, John, Brendan, Tiffany, Meagan, Rory, Mallory, Carly, Riley, Nash and Ryder and great-grandfather of Evan. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Marie and his brother Pat. John was the past president of the Sarnia Optimist Club, a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Greenwood Golf Course. He retired from Spiers Brothers Construction Company and was a union member of the Local 663. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Lever at St. Benedict's Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Lung Association, 656 Lakeshore Rd., Sarnia N7V 2T2 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 774 London Rd., Sarnia N7T 4Y1.
