Isabel Belrose

BELROSE, ISABEL (nee McElroy) - With her loving family by her side at Bluewater Health, Isabel Belrose died on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the age of 86.  Beloved wife and best friend of the late Britain "Brit" Belrose (2006).   Loving mother of Lorrie-Anne & her husband Clay Mootrey, Sarnia, David Belrose, Sarnia and Janey & her husband Terry Sutherland, London. Cherished grandmother of Lisa Bowery (Ryan), Sarnia, Eric Belrose (Sheri), London,  Carla Belrose, Sarnia, Clayton Mootrey (Jodi), CFB Bordon, Matthew Mootrey (Nicole), Paisley, Derek Belrose (Nicole) Smithville, Katherine Belrose, Sarnia, Keith Belrose (Elizabeth), Cambridge and Melissa McIntyre (Patrick), London. Also surviving are 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson and several nieces & nephews including special great nieces Paula Margaret, Betsy, Theresa and Cheryl. Predeceased by her parents Joseph (1954) & Florence McElroy (1941), her other mother Annie McConnell (2006) beloved son Thomas (1985), cherished daughter Dorothy Blunte (2014), infant grandson Jae Mootrey (1977) and granddaughter Heidi Belrose (2014).  Isabel loved her church and her family.  She was the family matriarch and their pillar of strength. Isabel was very articulate and documented their family history for over 60 years.  She enjoyed doing her puzzles and socializing with her family and many friends.  Isabel will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.  Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Tuesday 7–9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at Community of Christ Church, (across from St. Clair High School) on Thursday June 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.   As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the charity of your choice.  Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com.
